Bob Collymore summarized the Kenyans business culture in 2 words called Kiosk Mentality.
The Kenya business mindset is lazy and lacks innovation.
Everyone wants to copy businesses and leading to saturation of the same businesses on the same location.
That the reason we have streets like kirinyaga road having automotive businesses, biashara street having kids shops, luthuli avenue having electronics business

Hapa you are wrong, all over the world you will find this, the reason it happens is it aggregates suppliers and customers in one area and everybody benefits

How did it happen that caused the aggregation of the suppliers in one area? Am sure a street of 2 km long with the same suppliers did happen overnight.
The best explanation is the first shop opened and the new neighbors copied the business. The cycle continued until we ended up with what I said

Aggregation of similar businesses in an area happens all over the world .
Even on a macro level in the developed world you will find cities with thousands of factories that make similar products .

Businesses that share similar customer profiles will naturally aggregate, benefiting both businesses and customers. Those shops do not sell the same items. They specialize in different parts and/or car models. It is for the same reason we have dedicated food markets.

Let's take Luthuli as an example. What is the alternative here? Do you think one electronics or phone shop is enough to service everyone? Don't you think this is the opposite of monopoly and is actually good for the consumer's pocket? As a buyer, do you want to walk for kilometers as you look for a single product or you want to walk down one street and get all the variety you need?
