Elder Lister
A secondary school teacher in Nyeri has committed suicide by first placing himself inside a homemade "coffin" before ingesting unknown kind of poison. The lifeless body of 46-year-old Joseph Gathogo a teacher at Muhoya secondary school was found inside the "coffin" by police and relatives inside a rental house at Ihururu shopping centre after he went missing for a week. This is after his relatives informed by his disappearance got wind from neighbours that a foul smell was emanating from his house which was locked from inside.

This is a sarcophagus (used by ancient egyptians for burial). I can also see the name of an Egyptian King written on the lid. Let me find a good photo mupate translation hapa hapa.

The flag depicts a dung beetle holding the sun, which is a symbol for Khepri, the god of creation. However the enclosure of the beetle and sun with an elongated oval (cartouche) could also mean that he was referring to a king whose name is Khepri.

He gathered his earthly belongings in a boat-like structure in preparation for the journey to the afterlife, the same way ancient Egyptians did.
