boy child needs emotional support past 18 years especially those who still have fantasies about life, they need the old age realty check

Very true, most males at that age learn about relationships and human intimate interactions from magazines/online anecdotes/ or even porn. They jump into relationships with a fantasy of what the ideal female is and how they are to act. A good number are unable to handle the kind of disappointment that awaits them before they get a reality check.

Most guys raised in extended families and interactive communities tend to have less idealistic mental images of women.

True by the way. You find a dude who was raised in a picture perfect nuclear family expecting to find his mother and the kind of relationship she enjoyed with his father in a random woman he meets on the streets. Not knowing her background, how she was raised, what she idealizes as a healthy relationship etc. The reality check hits him like a sack of bricks. People raised in extended and interactive communities tend to have it at the back of their minds that people are different, they are open to disappointments and understand the diversity of other people's backgrounds. They handle the disappointments better.

Kabisa. Limited real world exposure and fantasy building through TV, radio and social media makes for a very harsh/confusing adulthood.

But social media has facilitated the demystification of sex and relationships. One would expect with that guys would be less attached to girls....

It hasn't. Social media is simply digital programming/manipulation. It will show you what you think is ideal, not what is real. When you log into your IG, it's in control, not you, and will craft your own version of reality.

So kuna mtu hapo anabelieve that the correct way to treat women is to buy them cars, because he follows Vera Sidika and that's how she's "appreciated".

Furthermore, social media has raised the social value of overt and ostentatious behaviour. Before, you had to talk to a woman to figure her out. Now, she can craft an image that you'll believe in.
