Tiiga Waana
Elder Lister
This has been a very hectic and frenetic year for yours truly what with changing jobs and moving house.
One of the casualties of that busyness has been my vumbistan passport.
I last travelled home last July and upon my return noticed I was running out of its valid-by-date fast and could get caught short.
I visited our embassy to try renewal only to be asked too many questions and requirements that I gave up and decided to renew when I get to Nairobi.
It is upon this brief background that I found myself having to apply for an electronic travel authorisation (eTA) with a different passport as I have to spend my Christmas break at home.
Anyhow the process was fast and only took three days before I promptly received my eTA via email.
And this is where the plot thickens - no other country in the world has their President’s quotes and speeches embedded on their visa certificates apart from …. yeah….Kenya.
When I raised this with a friend they confided that they have heard that Jambas will shortly have his face on our bank notes.
So, Ladies and Gentlemen, prepare yourselves to carry Jambas on your wallets very shortly.
