He can only lose his seat after being convicted and sent to jail.
You are presumed, no matter the charges, to be innocent until proven guilty.

I'm talking about the court of public opinion. There's clear evidence he shot someone while not under any duress and his changing narratives clearly shows he is lying. In a country with any modicum of integrity this would not float.

Let's not belabour the point.
Everyone knows the nature of our politics and the mis leaders that get elected into office.
Trying to think integrity in the same sentence with Kenyan leaders is just lying to yourself.
Even the few with with a previous record of integrity lose it within a few years of tasting power.
