As at 10:30am, there were minimal activities at the Central Business district, despite call by Opposition Chief Raila Odinga to demonstrate over high cost of living.

No protestor has been sighted within the CBD since morning

Most streets are very clear, minimal traffick as most shops closed, no movement of matatus. Police have been spotted along the major streets including Tom Mboya, streets leading to KICC. They are mainly ridding on horses, patrolling for streets, in a move to prevent people from protests.
Jeevanjee Gardens, is also a no go zone as police has surrounded the area.

At KICC, police have taken over manning of the gates. Last Monday, Azimio La Umoja MPs stormed into the facility.

On Friday Last week, Azimio wrote to the Nairobi Officer Commanding station about the upcoming Monday and Thursday demos.

Azimio Executive Council Chairperson Wycliffe Oparanya said the demonstration will begin at dawn and end at dusk.

"The processions will take place in the streets within your jurisdiction from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm," the letter read.

Oparanya said the purpose of the meetings will be to submit a written submission to the President at State House, Nairobi.

"This is not an application for permission as none is contemplated under Article 37 of the constitution," part of the letter stated.

The coalition urged the OCS to deploy enough police officers to guarantee security to attendees and exercise crowd control

The protests were scheduled for Monday, March 27 and Thursday, March 30.
