I am not a Futurama fan .
The Treasury has allocated the Presidency an additional Sh2.88 billion for its recurrent budget, placing it among the biggest gainers in the revised 2019/2020 public expenditure plans.
The Supplementary Budget II, published by the Treasury in response to the coronavirus pandemic, shows the recurrent budget for State House affairs has been increased from the initial Sh4.56 billion to Sh5.13 billion.

State House Nairobi has been allocated an extra Sh578.02 million whose key driver has been marked as “other operating expenses,” with the budget for this item jumping from the initial Sh1 billion to Sh1.506 billion.

The increment to the Presidency’s overall budget was also driven by an additional Sh93.58 million for Cabinet affairs and Sh2.25 billion for the newly-created Nairobi Metropolitan Services.

I also find interesting the highlighted sentence above.
From the photo-ops when Governor Mbuvi Sonko and Eugene Ludovic Wamalwa were signing documents at State House, I thought MNS falls under the Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Devolution and ASAL not the Presidency !
So the Presidency can't trust Kijana's baby brother to manage Sh2.25 billion ?

Haki ya Mungu watu wakitaka kuwa negative...why not start with ...The newly created Nairobi Metropolitan Services has been allocated shs 2.25 billion in the supplementary budget. The money to me looks like the lion's share of the revised sums.
Lakini lazima kuwekwe innuendo president ameongezewa pesa ya kukula pombe nayo.

UK aliongeza staff Kwa ofisi yake or what other operations is he undertaking to increase his budget?

But the question is why has the MNS budget been allocated to the Presidency rather than the Ministry of Devolution and ASAL.

Me, I think either the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua or CS of Treasury or both made a bad bureaucratic judgement call on budget line allocation .

If there is a good explanation, we just need to hear it.

So are we going to see a reduced allocation to the Nairobi kanjo?

Uchungu ya kuamka 3 AM kumrudisha Bondo halafu bado anamuona Nairobi akiwa allocated millions of shillings by kafment.
Haha atakuwa kwa bollot pia next elekshens and he still must get voted out, RAO is a cancer in this country that can be traced back to when Moi still had black hair
