So the population of Tanzania rose 16million in 10 years? OK!

That's a population growth rate of about 37 per cent in the period!

What does this mean for the provision of social services, the economy, etc?

My honest opinion is that nyeuthis should be left to their own devices.

How does it concern you what Tanzanians do with your population?

A young population, if well managed is a huge asset.
I can promise you that some of the European countries with dwindling and aging populations are not too upset with the injection of young strong Ukrainians.
During the Syrian war, Germany conveniently absorbed a good million.
India and China aren't doing too bad recently.
Meanwhile, look at Britain going down hill after rejecting migrants...
Its leadership we lack...

1. Nowhere have I said a dwindling pop. is good. A STABLE POPULATION WHERE EACH WOMAN GETS ABOUT 2.6 CHILDREN ON AVERAGE IS IDEAL.

2.China? They've had a stable pop. of 1.4 billion for almost 30 years..

How has overpopulation affected Ethiopia and Kenya? How many Tz beggars are on Kenya streets? How many Ethiopian illegals are arrested here each year? How does conflict up north due to resource fights affect our border regions?

Can a country survive when surrounded by overpopulated basketcases?

What do you mean by overpopulation? Who made you judge? What is the acceptable density? Are Turkanas and Marakwets who keep raiding us also overpopulated?

You can easily tell the population distribution by just looking at food/agricultural distribution maps
Where theres food and adequate rain, you will find high population and low education

A very good and relevant question right there.

For me, I see a big problem facing TZ in the near future.
Those who have visited Dar, Zanzibar and other big towns in Tanzania one thing stands out - the hordes of illiterate young men and women all around.
It’s like not many young people ever go to school.

That’s very concerning. What is the future of these young men and the future of Tanzania?
No wonder there is this population explosion.
And these people are always bitter about Kenyans being able to visit and do stuff.

I guess the human development index of Tanzania must be wanting.
