Very important to note that this is the exact same type of mess-up that happens with e.g US/EU forces but you never get to see it broadcasted to the whole world.

Western media, governments and populations almost instinctively know what own negative stuff to suppress.

Then this Nigeria army parachute mess up story will appear (repeatedly) in western media as a news item that also covers corruption, poverty, boko haram, oil industry environmental damage etc

This is what happens to the middle crass who see no need to fight for better health care. When the hour of need comes, that insurance policy you hold won't be of much use.

Yes. But KDF hawajawahi fanya blunder kama hio.

The military, in most nations, is the best performing, most well-funded and disciplined government institution.

The primary function of a government is to protect its citizens from foreign aggression.

So, when your military fails this spectacularly, especially on INDEPENDENCE DAY, then what's the point of having an armed force?

As somebody who has had an interest in health care, I feel nothing. NOTHING.

Kenyans love whining but are 99.875 per cent thieves. Eti mnataka a whole private hospital to stop earning money attending to paying clients to attend to a random accident dude, right?

You do that, the guy wakes and walks. Two weeks you call him to pay the 28k he incurred, he tells you ferk off and blocks you.

Seen it a million times. Mtu akufe...

And these are supposed to be the best of their SFs.....

Its not about seeking free services from private providers but strengthening public health provision so that it delivers value commensurate with the investment. The middle class who have some idea of what quality healthcare should be hardly feel bothered because they can afford private healthcare. That st. Francis hospital serves many more patients than similar-sized government hospitals with similar budgets.
And I like how some people feel impervious to poor services in the healthcare system only to succumb to simple issues like lack of oxygen (so many left this way during Covid).
