Barbarism and primitivism rolled into one! Horrible and terrible.

We are not in hammurabi”s “eye for an eye” or Victorian’s “daily caning and hard labour” for criminal offenders”.

The world has moved on and we have discovered that the best way to reform as well as punish offenders is not to exert physical, mental or humiliating public hangings or caning but to deny or limit their independence and liberty by imprisonment or other restrictive orders ranging from house arrest to keep-away injunctions.

Public floggings (whippings) is Assault to cause actual/grievous bodily and should be condemned by all.
Any human life has to be treated with dignity and respect otherwise don’t be surprised if tomorrow somebody accuse you of being a witch and the public start stoning you or rolling you in a mwatu (bee-hive)!
