This is the most important line. These are just proposals. There is a chance that they will be rejected
Parliament convening to discuss the Bill was slated for tomorrow, with the government looking to shore up cash reserves our Parliament would have passed the Bill

It came into effect this January? Why don't we give it time before we make judgement.
I think it has been around for some time, it started as a flat rate as it is now then they moved it to be pegged on the local business licence, I think the counties were not very supportive, and finally they have reverted it again.

I have never understood why the government is interested or even bothers with this segment, enforcing it seems to be too expensive, I dont see how a kinyozi, boda guy, or jama wa mjengo will pay that, unless by some miracle we become a middle income/developed nation overnight.

and finally they have reverted it again.
and reduced it from five to one per cent under the corona tax adjustments.
the idea is to get the young business community into the culture ofpaying tax. defaulters eventually to get caught up with when buying land, a house, a car, registering a lease and so on.
