Another school...

This was 2005.
And since you’ve taken me down memory lane, acha nikupee background.

Hio wakati nilikua member wa SDA choir. it Was a wonderful excuse to go to Rallies, travel to other schools, to Baraton Uni, and meet girls - basically spend a lot of weekends away from school.
I remember the Patron of the SDA community at school was a physics teacher. Always drunk. He always had a 5liter kibuyu of changaa at his staff quarters. Akienda break in the middle of a class anachapa glass then anarudi na psyche. So every time we went out to rallies we would not fear getting a bit tipsy coz the patron himself wouldn’t notice 😄

Anyways, the man giving the gift was a biology teacher. He was also a masters student pale moi uni. He had purchased this high end desktop (at the time) and for that I approached him to be cleaning his office on weekends—-so I could play music on the computer and play games. I always looked forward to weekends.

The teacher seated behind was also a biology teacher. He had ‘married’ the secretary of the school who was a good friend of mine coz she always gave me a phone to call home -wonderful lady. They lived together in the teachers quarters.
The other teacher next to him , the one who can’t be seen clearly, was a history teacher. He was a very calm guy, talked politely and in almost a hushed tone, always smiling, but very lethal with the ladies. He always brought a new catch to the teachers quarters. At some point a new teacher came in, they became neighbors, and basically she became sort of his girlfriend. Now I have to say this lady was loooose. We used to touch her ass and boobs while having escorting her to her quarters after night preps and she would chuckle and say how she’ll tell her ‘boyfriend’ - just to mention almost all my friends were form 4s and some of them raruad that cat.

The guy next to me was called Ronoh. Mtiaji Mbaya. Guy was the prefect of our class and we just didn’t like each other.

On this photo I was receiving a gift for performing well in biology. Mtu asijaribu kusema midget. Nilirefuka 😄😄.

As a side note, this photo was taken using my Kodak film camera - just like the one below. Bought for KES 1,000 and given to me as a gift. I made good cash with that camera 😄😄😄. But at some point I sold it to buy a Siemens C35.

Hiyo story ya form 4 kurarua mwalimu ilikuwanga ni uwongo for street creds....not unless alikupea kidole unuse hio sio story ya kuamini

We really need to pray for students in schools, fire kila mara is not a good thing. Very negative energy, May God protect all those children in schools

I believe this burning of schools became a norm back in 2008. Students of back then witnessed, experienced and participated in pev and brought those skills/lessons back to school. It might just get worse before it gets better.

My generation, the worst that happened during strikes was just vandalism (windows), lakini hawa wanajua kuteketeza dorm mzima. It takes some know how to be an arsonist, its not just about lighting a fire and running away.

Gharama ya boarding iokolewe na mzazi...(I know having many students together would bring cost down due to economies of scale but that is negated by corruption.)

Aii. How hard is it? Just stacking up mattresses together and setting them on fire. The fire catches the rafters above because they are exposed and the rest is history.
