Good press release. But I also hope that the Kenya Transporters Association have aggressively engaged the government on behalf of lorry owners and drivers, in regards to SGR impact.

When SGR plans and local investment deals were being struck did you guys engage the government of the day on it's negative economic impact on long distance transportation industry (lorries, trailers). By the way, this goes back to Kibaki\Raila nusu mkeka government and lately Uhuru-Ruto times.

I am not naive not to know the entrenched - vested political, family and economic interests of cartels. However, you guys have a number of entrepreneurs who are mbiroinaires. What has stopped you to use your economic and political leverage to also negotiate for a piece of the Mombasa port and Naivasha dry port with Uhuru administrative.

I am not asking to apportion blame but to point out a missed opportunity for your industry to own a piece of SGR to mitigate anticipated loss of revenue. Take the fight to another economic level so you dot not become the average "serikali saidia" victims. The Uhuru post Covid19 economic recovery plan led by Raila is your opening. Tinga should be reminded of his role in muting the SGR project together with his buddy Wanjigi. Jobs have been lost and businesses will die because of SGR.

There was talk about road transporters being allowed to acquire wagons which would carry their customers cargo... Apparently,it was all hot air.

Unaishi Kenya gani @Eng'iti ? They already have logistics firms. Unafikiri oil inapelekwa Mombasa na msedes ya @Meria ?
The minute @Meria parks his msedes pale Miritini kwa Syombua that will be the end of him and trucking...he can not dare.
