When you go swimming at coast, and you are not good, unapewa tube imekwa pressure so that you stay afloat.Ebu explain because I've also noted instances where cars are being swept but people walking unperturbed towards the car to rescue
Makes it worseAnd speeding through the water does not help

I guess once the water is blocked its weight becomes the pushing force (with the bus becoming a rather weak dam because it is not anchored) increasing in weight every second. So you can easily walk through slow moving water even at waist level, coz your feet have proper grip with the riverbed.
Even if I can't remember Archimedes Law I have waited out flash floods at many a drift in this Eastern and N Eastern.Tbh, most people, including me and you, would behave in a similar manner. Especially if you don't understand the dynamics of buoyancy, aka Archimedes law.
Exactly.I guess once the water is blocked its weight becomes the pushing force (with the bus becoming a rather weak dam because it is not anchored) increasing in weight every second.
Niliona watu wakiuliza wapi guard rails?, I shook my head, most Kenyans from the high potential areas do not understand the reality of ASAL areas. They are not bridges, they are drifts. Concrete slabs that are most ideal where rivers are likely to flood for a few hours then disappear. They are cost-effective where very long span bridges may be built that have water under them for only 10 per cent of the time in a year.
They were even accusing Mama Ngilu of eating the bridge money.Niliona watu wakiuliza wapi guard rails?, I shook my head, most Kenyans from the high potential areas do not understand the reality of ASAL areas.

You are an excellent teacher. When you go swimming at coast, and you are not good, unapewa tube imekwa pressure so that you stay afloat.
That bus has 6 such floaters, and this significantly reduces it's grip on the road. So a very small force is enough to push it aside. Thus, slow moving water can very easily sweep a 26-wheeler.
A human being sinks in water under ordinary circumstances. So you can easily walk through slow moving water even at waist level, coz your feet have proper grip with the riverbed.

When it rains it pours in the land of your in-laws?4 children, 3 boys and a girl have died while swimming in a dam at Mwitika location in Kitui East. Area chief Daniel Mutinda has confirmed.
This driver would have maintained that bus on the right it would have been safer , even the guys directing him were running to that side, how could he be going to the opposite direction or is it the water that is pushing that bus to the extreme end ? That driver couldn't have made it seeing the bus nosedives immediately the moment it overturns .From this view, it may look like the driver missed the bridge.
What's not obvious is that he was unable to put the bus on the right path on account of the water.
Any time you plan to drive through a river, bear in mind that 6 inches of slow moving, water which a child can effortlessly wade through, is enough to wash away a Fielder or equivalent.
