A tax collector requires one thing more than academic certificates: ๐ฐ๐ต๐ป๐ฌ๐ฎ๐น๐ฐ๐ป๐.
1. Adan ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ for a job he knew or should have ๐ธ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ป he was not qualified for
2. Adan then attended a formal job interview and was still aware that he was unqualified for the job
3. Adan was aware that KRA had gone the extra mile to seek a legal opinion and did get doubtful one. All so he could land the job. Still, his sense of morality remained insensitive
4. Adan then got offered the job. He did not react with shock and gather the courage to tell KRA that he applied as a joke or part of a social experiment he is participating in from his former Ivy League University! No, he was joyful
5. Adan then accepted the job.
6. Adan became aware that the appointment had provoked opprobrium, and people were rushing to court faster than they did when Aisha Jumwa was given an Engineers job on the basis of her birth certificate only
7. Most interestingly, as the media was announcing the swearing in of Adam Mohammed to his plum job and we saw him in an expensive suit; a court was sending Aisha Jumwa home. Thus, we have ended up comparing a man with an Ivy league degree to a scandalous woman with a birth certificate! (Only her birth certificate can be verified)
Anybody in Kenya can tell you when it comes to Aisha Jumwa, scandal, disgrace, shame, infamy, and dishonour are, in fact, her regular tools of trade. I can find a person claiming to be shocked by anything Aisha Jumwa does. Because frankly, she not only lacks integrity but would, given a chance, ridicule it!
But then explain to me as if i were, well, Aisha Jumwa, how an Ivy League graduate accepts to participate in this scandal? We all expected more from Adan. It sadly turns out every bull grazes where it is tethered. Adan is unwilling to escape the toxicity of Kenya intelligentsia. Not that he can't but because he chooses not to.
