6K every month

That’s the best idea ever to have come from Rao as far as I am concerned. Forget the olympics bla bla ....he has promised in the past.
In any case this makes more sense than the wheelbarrow nonsense.

The jobless Youth deserve a dignified life like everybody else. If the MPs, Governors, Senators and MCAs can earn so much, why can’t we get a mere 6K for our unemployed?
Other countries already implement this very successfully and plan it accordingly as part of their budget. Unemployed people are no less citizens and ought to be assisted to live a decent and dignified life as they seek work or plan to start a business or any other livelihood.
Do this, go to the national statistics utafute factual figures za unemployment then multiply that by 6k and come and tells us how much that will cost to implement.

Tiiga urimu. With about 5 million unemployed youths, where do you get the money to fund even half this number? Yet wengine wetu bado hatujashika hio 2K ya wazee. Wait, wameshindwa ata kufund clinic kidogo kidogo.

The responses above demonstrates our poor political attitudes and defeatist mentality which leaves us at the mercies of the politicos.
People are against unemployed youths getting support from the Government yet they have no scruples with MPs, Governors and MCAs awarding themselves outrageous salaries, perks and benefits. All people do is moan and complain endlessly about greedy mpigs.

Where do their ever increasing earnings, which are one of the highest worldwide by the way, come from and why can’t our unemployed youths get the meagre 6K from the same source?

If the Government is borrowing to fund recurrent expenditure like paying politicos’ salaries why can’t they borrow to fund its most important asset - the youth?

Aren’t we citizen the Boss and politicians our servants? The Boss should be catered for first before the servant!

I don't think anyone would be against such a noble plan. What we are pointing out is that the idea is impractical and, therefore, most likely a lie. There are millions of people in this country earning less that 6K a month. It, therefore, raises eye brows when someone suggests to give the same amount to unemployed youths. Secondly, lenders would be reluctant to give money to such ends. That said, it is also true that the recurrent expenditure is unsustainable for an economy such as ours. If wastage, unnecessary expenditure, and corruption could be curbed, it could be possible to give some small stipends to the unemployed.
