Ministry of Health has today announced that 17 more patients have succumbed to Covid-19 in the last 24hours bringing the total fatalities to 1,469
In a statement, the ministry also said that 302 more people have tested positive for the virus. The country’s total caseload has now risen to 83,618.
On some positive news, 369 patients were discharged, and now the recoveries are at 55,344.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has also said that he held a meeting with the NERC earlier today and the President was in attendance. The main agenda of the meeting was COVID-19 vaccine which is in its research stages at KEMRI in conjunction with Wellcome trust and Oxford university.
The CS also said that over 60,000 Kenyans have registered for the Vaccine trial which will take place before the end of the year.
