KeNHA says the Rironi–Naivasha–Gilgil and Rironi–Maai Mahiu–Naivasha PPP project will be a toll road, with the initial tariff set at KES 8/km.

The 139km road will be developed by the CRBC–NSSF consortium under a 30-year DBFOMT concession, covering design, financing, construction, operation, maintenance and eventual handback to KeNHA.

But if done right it will save almost 1000 in running costs - fuel plus wear and tear .
Hope footbridges will be built during the initial stage not wait for 10 years while enforcing 50kph.

Ukiwa unaenda biashara ni sawa, lakini kama ni utalii haiwezi. Businesses on that stretch zitaumia mbaya sana. Wakati kulikuwa na toll station pale Kimbo haungepata settlements or any businesses after the toll. Hiyo area ilikuanga deserted.
