1.3 million Acres

Repossessing grabbed land in Nairobi would be extremely complicated for a number of reasons. One, the current occupiers are innocent buyers who are many places removed from the original grabbers. Two, most of these areas are too developed and support huge populations and important services. Repossessing them would cause too much disruption. Three, most investors, politicians, government officials, and government workers, both past and present, are involved as facilitators, sellers, resellers , or final buyers. Disrupting the status quo would see the courts flooded with contestations, including those from judges and lawyers.

Kuna prime land ya acre kama mia mbili pale Ngong forest. This area was set aside by Kenya Forest Service as a buffer between the forest and the population. It seems to have into private hands.
