The family is rumoured to be one of the wealthiest in lakeside. Father made birrions during the Moi/Kibaki era. Was said to be the only minister in whose presence Moi felt comfortable enough to close both eyes during prayer. Moi had the weird habit of always keeping one eye open during public prayer
