Why Jimmy Gait's 'Coronavirus' song was unnecessary

Jimmy Gait is at it again, and this time he has brought trolls to himself. It will be remembered that in 2016, he was trolled by internet users for releasing Adele's cover 'Hello'. This crashed our beloved Jimmy Gait and he expressed his concerns on a live TV ending up crying and it was alleged that he was depressed for some time.

He came back to the limelight in 2019 after accusing Kenyan doctors of misdiagnosis over his illness, thank God he didn't sing about it. People didn't buy his story since they were used to his attention-seeking nature.

The country is currently facing the Coronavirus pandemic and its cure is yet to be determined. Coronavirus has affected the whole world leading to the economic crisis around the world since several flights have been canceled as the number of deaths and infections has increased. The President yesterday in a presser issued several recommendations in order to control the virus.

On Friday, 13th March, Jimmy Gaits surprised us with a new song- Corona! We were not surprised since that was expected of him, the song is good since it has created awareness but the lady who was talking on the phone in the middle of the song was VERY unnecessary.

The video is a NO NO, we don't deserve the drama of Akinyi and her husband, and why was he yawning in the first place?

All I am grateful for is that the lyrics have important information on prevention of the Coronavirus;

Kwa mara nyingi osha mikono yako kwa sabuni
Na usiguze macho, mdomo na hata na mapua
Ni bora ufunikie mdomo kama wakohoa
Maumivu yakizidi ona daktari
Na walioadhirika ni watu kama sisi
Tusiwaachilie
In my opinion, realising the song wasn't necessary, I feel like he did it for clicks and not the intended purpose, why do artiste take advantage of situations just to get the numbers they want and grow their following? We only lack content and we should do something about it.

Watch it!
