A 25-year old man has stabbed his 60-year-old mother to death at Kabianga village in Kericho after the deceased allegedly stopped him from leasing out a portion of family land.
The suspect is currently held at the Kabianga Police Station awaiting arraignment.
The above case is an example of one too many cases of adults killing their parents because of land. Been wondering is it a case of poor upbringing? too much expectation in life or automatically believing whatever the parent has, it's theirs.
Inheritance for many is not affordable anymore, you find a parent has five kids, sons cleared campus but no jobs, daughters are single mothers staying right there at that ka quarter , then you find everyone wants a piece of it.
This cases are bound to increase, was the education system ferked up or is the system designed to confine others in perpetual poverty cycle? or wengine watasema it's laziness?
I personally feel sad when someone mistreat or kills their mother, they've no idea what they'll miss in life.
