I knew this thread will be full of stereotypes, innuendos and outright lies about downtown Nairobi.
Wonder when some of you were last there?
Sisi tunashinda huko daily, morning to evening and we don’t see any of those things majority are referring to!
Labda unakaa mtu wa mashida hivi so you don't need to camouflage yourself because you already fit in 😁
Just kidding. But seriously if you haven't experienced it yet you will.

Most ocha huku Kenya mtu hutembea free of this nonsense. Sometimes we should ask ourselves what we're really doing in the cirry.
hiyo ndio shida ya kukuwa tu na 1 city where everything takes place there.

People say that houses and land in Nairobi is overpriced as compared to new york or even Joburg. Lakini in Kenya we only have 1 city, in America almost all states have huge cities, some like Cali have several eg LA, SF, San Diego. HQ za govt agencies ziko in different locations. hata kwa biz NY is the biz HQ, Cali is the tech HQ, Florida ni manufacturing hub. Same applies to China

Hapa Kenya everything is in Nairobi, Hata Kibaki tried with his vision 2030 to create other hubs but Uhunye aliziweka kwa drawer chini kabisa. Other presidents never tried uplifting other towns, they simply ignored or killed them

Back in high school, our literature teacher, used to tell us if you come across a word or phrase you do not understand, read the entire paragraph and you will get a glimpse of what it means.

What I am trying to say is, if you ever get yourself in a place or situation you do not understand, try accessing all the things sarroundig the environment that you understand to make sense out of it. Ni hayo tu kwa sasa
