Former Azimio La Umoja Deputy Presidential candidate Martha Karua has stated why the team was a no-show during Tuesday's planned protests.
Karua said the police were stationed in all parts of the Nairobi Metropolis and City Centre at the break of dawn to prevent them from engaging in peaceful protest.
"The police that were unleashed prevented us from proceeding with our planned protests," she said.
"Unfortunately, because of the mayhem, we could not present our four petitions as planned."
She also said on Monday night, the security personnel of the Azimio leaders were withdrawn.
