On a serious note though @Introvert na @Magreb what are the basic tools a wannabe mekonika should have to carry out car servicing(saloon) on his own. Introvert sina Omosh sasa uyo utoe kwa list.

I'm not the most experienced, but one way is to decide a small task you want to accomplish and in your research figure out all the tools you'll need to accomplish it.

Gradually you'll build up a tool collection as you get more comfortable working on your vehicle and tackle increasingly sophisticated maintenance tasks

  1. Pair of good quality pliers. Include long nose pliers too,
  2. Set of box spanners from 10-32,
  3. Set of box spanners (small) from 6mm-13mm),
  4. Good ratchets,
  5. Ring spanner set,
  6. Combination spanner set,
  7. Good screw driver set,
  8. Allen key set,
  9. Quality torx screwdrivers and spanners,
  10. Wire brush,
  11. Sand paper,
  12. Masking tape,
  13. Insulating tape,
  14. Jack stands(at least two),
  15. Wd40,
  16. Super glue,
  17. Silicone (gasket type),
  18. Notebook and pen,
  19. Attitude.
