Really! this wasn't a problem prior to the Bible being put down?

In 2015, President Uhuru Kenyatta led a campaign against the killer brews. It ended in the closure of many businesses which claimed to be breweries but were just outfits for mixing ethanol and water and packing it. The reasons used in the closures were varied but included tax evasion and unsanitary conditions. The mountain had fairly sobered up after that operation until the 26 firms in this story were relicensed. We have been giving lip service to fighting excessive drunkenness since.

A course mate never recovered from that 'campaign', his yet to be opened wine and spirits joint with a 3 million loan in lieu of rent/goodwill and stock were destroyed. this was coupled with the fact that he had just constructed his ancestral home with a loan from a Sacco. A result of an euphoria led campaign by implementors.

The campaign was good and very necessary coz some of the blends were pure poison (sad that they have been allowed to creep back!). It obviously was going to have many casualties.

It was a good campaign and many backed it. There is a village in Ndumberi location know. As Karunga which doesn't have a bar due to some of the efforts . If you were given just one hundred thousand to bring just ten sober men from that village it was practically impossible. So many had died due to the effects of the illicit brews and countless others had been zombified

I remember that time third generation liquor stores were raided and their stock destroyed, if what you're saying about lip service is true then the Dp and his wife are pretty good at that.
