Individual interests come first ,
It reminds me of Dangote's willingness to overlook high energy costs in order to establish a mega cement firm in Kitui worth 35B of investments back in Kamwana's 1st year in office. Kickbacks zilifanye aamue zii.

Horrible news for Kenya. Itabidi the promise of LAPSSET to start bearing fruit.
All is not lost and this is, on the bigger scheme of things, not all doom and gloom.
These projects inherently carry with them potential for massive environmental catastrophe and degradation.
Do not forget that they require intense security protocols which can cost an arm and a leg for any Governmental Agency.
Let us also remember that fossil fuels are no longer in vogue and are facing stiff competition from environmental friendly sources.
