Strategy comes in knowing the frequency of letters in English words
E is the most frequent.
Then R
Then A
Then C
Then T
Also D N, O and I feature prominently.

Therefore, TRACE, TRAIN, TRADE, CARDS, etc are good starting words

Partly luck, partly strategy. There is that time when S and T used to be very frequent as first letters. At that time, I used to start with Slate or stray.
Juzi tu, E was the first letter in 2-3 consecutive days. Saizi C has started for 2 days consecutive. Then there is you who can't take notice
