You are wrong. "Kasarani" is derived from the kikuyu word Gatharaini which is the name of the river between kasarani and githurai. River Gatharaini or Rui rwa Gatharaini existed long before mzungu introduced napier grass aka "thaara". Kikuyus called the area surrounding that river Gatharaini even before mzungu came to east africa.
