I don't understand these half-baked political analysts who are saying that Ruto has been losing in the recent by-elections, such as Matungu and Machakos. Losing how?

Virtually all the by-elections have been held outside Ruto's strongholds of Mt Kenya and Rift Valley, yet UDA has been coming a strong second with about 20% or more of the vote. In Machakos, for example, which is supposed to be Mutua's and Kalonzo's stronghold, UDA still managed 20,000 votes! How is that a loss for a party which is not even six months old?

In Central and the RV, UDA is playing a very smart game of supporting certain strategic candidates who will later decamp. If you think, for example, that UDA did not field an MCA candidate in Uasin Gishu or Juja because it fears defeat then you are deluded. Politics is chess, and chess is about smart logical moves, not frontal assault.

So how's Ruto, who already has 40% of the national vote in the bank losing by routinely winning over 20% in places such as Western and Ukambani, strongholds of other people?

So, you have all the numbers and a super duper political outfit that can fight it out with the big boys. But then candidates that matter ignore your outfit. Why don't they run on your ticket in the first place? For example, why did they duck in Juja and support Kuria's candidate?

Any mention of Juja reminds me we had a useless MP (Wakapee) and MCA (Wakarema - he is alive but his presence is not felt) is equally rubbish . Barabara hakuna atakama ni za murram .And mawe na murram ya kujenga Kiambu area inatoka Juja .
