Nairobi's first cinema. The Theatre Royal was opened in 1912, and was the first theatre/cinema to operate in what was at that time named British East Africa. This must date from roughly when Intolerance was released (1916) .This cinema still exists in Nairobi and is called the Cameo.

many a movie i watched here, price was pocket friendly. after the box office were released at Nairobi and Kenya Cinema next stop was Cameo for 5 bob

The origina Gari ya moshi, "gari ya mwaki" in greek
These one we called it "Kuchukuchu" due to the sound the wheels made on the rails, you had to stand far away from the train ama uchomeke na steam

this railwayline is being revived but there is alot of resistance from traders who set up shop on the line once it was abandoned.
