Tanasha Donna ft Diamond Platnumz's 'gere' review

Diamond Platinumz and his lover Tanasha Dona didn't come to play. Rumours of their breakup were all over social media late last month, and it became worse when the former didn't attend his baby mama's EP launch. The launch had so much drama if the tabloids are to go by. Journalists were allegedly mistreated, hawakupewa chakula wala maji, imagine!

I'm not here to talk about Tanasha's EP launch event but one of her song from the EP, dubbed 'gere'. She has featured her baby daddy or 'my husband' has she has flaunted it all over our faces since she started dating the Tanzanian based artiste.

Diamond's exes, Zari and Hamisa are all musicians, why didn't he release a collabo with them? Ama hawatoshi?. Hamisa released a trash song and as for Zari, let me reserve my comments.

Diamond and Tanasha are here to stay if their latest song is to go by. They are sending out a warning to people who think their relationship will end with absolute tears, sorry haters, itabidi mzoee.

Several things stood out in this song, Tanasha ame-mature mbaaaya! She is now strong and you can see it on her music videos. She is more confident than ever, is this a thing? Does become a mother boost your confidence? We are yet to find out, doing a proper research soon.

Diamond and embarrassments doesn't go hand in hand. He's so particular with his work and I think he was strict with Tanasha and their director. The video is so clear with appropriate props in every scene, my favourite is when they are on a ride together. Oh, and their models too, good job Naseeb Jr's parents.

Their stylist did justice is selecting their outfits, every scene is unique, from the introduction, solo presentation and to their all-white chorus scene.

In this song, Diamond started off with introducing themselves, is this how he calls her? Donna? Anyway non of our business.

As always, it was flowing marvellously, thanks to Diamond's creativity. For the first time, I was smiling while listening to Tanasha, she aced her lyrics, her voice is stronger as compared to Mbosso's collabo. She was marking her territory in her lyrics;

I'ma go downtime for yah
Call you king put a crown on yah
Baby take your time with me
Let's go like river Nile
And you better tell them that you are mine
Better be my ride or die
Kabla ya kuwika jogoo
Asubuhi niamshe na kimoko

It's ok, we get it Tanasha, he is yours now.

Diamond Platnumz has finally declared that 'atatulia' thanks to his mother's reminder,. Diamond has always listened to his mother fro his 'mbagala' days and by telling him to settle with Tanasha might be a good advice because they honestly have chemistry;

Eeeh! Mama kasema mwali mwana
Nipepata nitulie Simba
Oooh nitulie Simba
Oooh nitulie Simba
I hope we wont be hearing of another baby mama drama.

Their chorus was directed at haters who write and comment about their relationship negatively. In short, they are telling you and I to mind our business. Here the chorus;
Wanaona gere, wanaona gere
Wanaona gere, wanaona gere
Wanaona gere, wanaona gere
Wanaona ge ge ge ge

Should we expect a new baby soon? Well, Diamond has revealed that they'll be playing too much, 'jioni, usiku na hata jua likizama' , heee wacha tungoje.

Generally, this is the best song yet, congratulations to Tanasha for finally gaining the much needed confidence to be a musician in East Africa.

Meanwhile, Zari na Hamisa wataambia nini watu?
