Yaani in kenya, power goes off for a short time and it becomes a crisis mpaka KPLC has to offer an immediate explanation while countries like South africa and Nigeria have 12hr rationing daily and don't complain. Infact Nigerians get only 4hrs max of power each day if lucky.

lazima ulizaliwa 2002. uko like 15 years

in the 90s, 2000s tulikuwa na power rationing kama hizo zenye unasema but we outgrew that nonsense

It is Uhuru who has quadrupled Kenya's power supply. Amefanya kazi.

Quote:
Kenya has dramatically increased electricity access over the last few years, from 2.3 million connections in 2013 to 8.2 million by the end of April 2021 thereby achieving electricity access rate of over 75%.

2020 was the worst year yet for power outages in the US
The problem could get worse unless the power grid gets a major makeover

By Justine Calma@justcalma Nov 10, 2021, 1:06pm EST

2020 was a record-breaking year for power outages in the United States, according to an Energy Information Administration (EIA) analysis published today.

On average, a person in the US went over eight hours without electricity in 2020. That’s more than twice as long the average American went without power in 2013, the year that the EIA started keeping track. Across the US, outage times varied considerably. Residents of Louisiana, the state with the longest outages, went a full 60 hours, on average, without electricity last year.

Mlisema hamtaki IPPs coz they are expensive.
Aren't they up and running as we speak? So what's their use if there was a national blackout because of one pylon? Your insight is proof that they are useless!

Lakini mkumbwa, owner of an IPP, saidia niko mbaya saidi kabisa.

IPPs don't have capacity to sustain a nationwide supply. They are just for stabilizing the network when a peak is reached.
What happened is a loss at the national grid level.
Our architecture is unable to withstand that. Ni kama gari iking'oka gurudumu moja. Can't move an inch
mkuMBWA mimi Niko mbaya saidi ya saidi. Am contemplating joining NBA.
