Smart Phone Trend In 2020

Smart phone manufacturers always look for ways to differentiate themselves to avoid being lumped with the rest. But in this quest, once a manufacturer does something that receives positive accolades from the market, all others jump in and create a trend
We have seen these trends over the last couple of years, talk of bezelless, the notch(that fugly thing), multiple cameras.....and on and on.
Once a trend goes mainstream you'll see anyone and their grandma designing a phone with those features because it seems anything else won't be accepted in a fad led market.
In the last couple of weeks BBK electronics has released two phones, one that has a 65watt charger in the oppo reno ace and the other a 50 watt charger in the realme X2 Pro. These phones charge from 0-100% in about 30min or less.
Now xiaomi appears to be late to this party, they are making some noises about doing a phone with 100 watt charger next year, apparently can charge a phone from 0-100% in 17min.
What does this mean, next expect al manner of quick chargers in the market as this appears to be the new trend in town. I expect even entry level budget phones to have at least 25watt charging.

A phone should rest at night as it charges. Manufacturers should build phones with batteries that last 16-28 hours. Superchargers will go the way of the power bank.

Quit whining and see the positivity in inventions for once. And just because something doesnt stand out appealing to you doesnt mean its ugly, I love the water drop notch.

Unless battery technology has changed this fast charging thing is just marketing, it is a well known fact that one of the drawbacks of lithium ion batteries is that if charged too fast it forms dendrites, crystals that build up on the anode which can eventually lead to explosions, i would be wary of something that can charge that fast. Ama zile simu za china unaweka charger inafika 100% in two minutes, ukitoa charge inarudi 10%

If that was the case wouldn't we have heard of at least one case?? What phone are you using right now? Simu za China are some of the best in the market and no, a single charge would last you the whole day

If your phone sells in Europe, those standards are met.
