Shaffie Weru gets county events job

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has appointed media personality Shaffie Weru to head events team for a period of five years.


Sakaja has said Shaffie collected his letter of appointment today and will be in charge overseeing all outdoor and indoor events in the county.


"He will exclusively execute all indoor and outdoor events headlined by Nairobi County Government."


Shaffie had been organising events graced by the governor the major one being Sakaja's swearing-in event in August 2021.


Other event that Shaffie took major part is was the successfully executed Nairobi festival that was held in December in conjunction with the Nairobi County government.


In January, Shaffie announced his new show dubbed 'Shafted' on YouTube after a two-year break.


The show mainly focuses on interviews with public figures and celebrities who have 'shafted' themselves in one way or the other.


Being 'Shafted', as explained by Shaffie is basically being in a controversial situation, or scandals that led to ones downfall.
