Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior claims that Uhuru and Ruto may be pretending to have fallen out in order to weaken NASA coalition.

Mutula cited the collapse of the BBI process due to a court order and the Kiambaa by-election. He argues that in recent mini-polls, whoever is endorsed by Uhuru oftens ends up losing to Ruto's choices.

“The by-elections you saw in Kiambaa were all treachery. They just changed their colours from red to yellow. Yet you think it was something of significance."

“They are pushing us (NASA) to the wall in the pretence that we are in unity with them. They want us to face the humiliation of endorsement politics."

Always thought so too drawing my conclusion from the 'fight' Kanyeaji One had with Chief Chemist pale Pwani Si Kenya when the latter was facing a tough re-election battle.
The supposed fall out and public 'humiliation' of the doktari was dawa saw him re-elected.
Me still thinks WaPwani walichezwa pata potea...kura zikapotelea masandukuni ya Dr. Dawa.

I have maintained this theory for the longest time. Uhuru and Ruto have been playing brain games. By pretending to have a fall out Ruto has secured himself as the major opposition leader despite him being practically the Deputy president. This way ODM literally falls out of the picture completey,it becomes Uhuru Vs Ruto and that idea has already been imprinted on everyones mind. If Ruto and Uhuru were still mainting good relations publicly that would have created space for another opposition which would make Ruto's run to precidency a little bit more difficult. Its either Raily is a big fool or the more likely scenario he's just sold out like he usually does.

Hehe there was an old snippet, I think from 2002 or 2007 about Kenyan men not thinking straight when the erections (elections) come around.
Both actually apply hehe
It was Sunday Nation columnist who visited some office in Embu a few days after the 2007 elections and on asking the secretary where all the officers were she replied they were all out of the office. She then added "you know when the erections are around the men lose their minds".

I remember reading that as a feisty teenager and wondering why the campaign fever hadn't given me any sort of erogenic reaction..

It is a good theory but I highly doubt it. There was a legitimate attempt to push BBI through which would have established a constitutionally backed pentagon.

Why would Uhuru go to those lengths when all it would have taken is to make sure the Big 4 agenda was implemented successfully for Jubilee/Ruto to gain favor with the masses?

Similarly, what would be the point of popularizing a new party when Jubilee was already a Juggernaut? Are you then saying all these politicians who constantly insult Ruto are part of this big elaborate plan to get Ruto the presidency?

I am more inclined to believe that the Uhuru is just trying to maintain the status quo. Even though the Odinga's, Moi's and Kenyatta's are competing against each other, these elites all have similar interests. They sip expensive whiskeys in their private room together and laugh and in then play to the gallery, split and consolidate the vote.

Ruto is the outsider here in terms of elitism. Is he guaranteed to protect Raila's business interests? Uhuru's? Moi's? Maybe yes, maybe no!

In my opinion all we are seeing here is three elite families coming together to protect their wealth. Simple!
