No one is safe , some farmers are using toxic chemicals on those vegetables .Others grow the vegetables using raw sewage.Very sad that the greed for more money has made people do this.

in highschool, an exhauster used to come draw our pit latrine and dump on our farm. Good tomatoes, super good spinach and hoho used to come from this farm.

Haven't you done biology? After the shit is broken down, the plants absorb the necessary nutrients and leave out the trash. Everything, including your urine and shit, can be broken down to different elements. For example, urine contains water, chloride, sodium, potassium, creatinine and other dissolved ions.

That's the truth. Raw sewage is more safe than treated sewage when used as fertilizer. It has no chemicals and the only thing you can acquire from it is worms or a disease like typhoid.

The effluent from raw sewage contains antibiotics and other xenobiotic compounds that can confer traits to pathogenic microbes in the soil that make them difficult to treat in case of infection. Untreated sewage ni mbaya sana.
