No Coalition In Sight! Musalia Mudavadi Rejects Advances By The Deputy President

With word going round that Deputy president William Ruto may just have found a new coalition partner in NASA and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi. The ANC party leader has come out to clarify the claims, together with his political position amidst what had been termed as a looming coalition agreement with the Dp. In a statement on his twitter handle @musaliamudavadi, he was clear and categorical about just where himself and his party stand in the country's political alignments at the moment.

"I want to make it clear that @anc_party is still a member of the NASA Coalition which has never been invalidated. In addition a political party cannot legally be in multiple coalitions at the same time. Therefore, ANC will not enter into a coalition with the Jubilee Party," read Musalia's tweet.

"We are the opposition and have to play our part questioning the government and hold them answerable and accountable to the general public. We as opposition are equally accountable in upholding the paramount interests of the citizens of the nation," he added.

This perhaps as a move to set the record straight with widespread reports having emerged about Dp Ruto's interest in Musalia and ANC at large for a political alliance. And with KANU having entered into a political pact with Jubilee Party, pending the registrar of political parties approval, Musalia Mudavadi's party was thought to be next in line for a similar pact. But now it seems Kenyans will have to wait until the NASA coalition is invalidated, and thus granting the member parties a free will to chant their own political futures.

This is even as the Dp continues to be sidelined by his boss, president Uhuru Kenyatta, both in government and in Jubilee party. With insiders now saying that the Dp may just have started his search for a new political alliance, even as he ponders on whether or not to quit from the Jubilee party.

Even if they reject Mr.Ruto for a thousand times, the man will eventually win the elections.
