Jana I wanted to fix out something in the house and had to get some supplies from an Indian shop... Being a weekend, sikuwa nimechana nywele was shaggy as can be, shorts, and slip on shoes. I walk in to the shop and show the Indian mzee what I want on the phone as I had a photo of it.
He says hawana, and as I was waking out I see it displayed on the shelves and point it out that's the one I want. The Indian said hatuuzi.
Was it racism, or were genuinely not selling the particular item.... Was baffled by it.
