Nur Ibrahim, a 33 year old mother of 5 was murdered in cold blood by her husband at their home in Mtwapa, Kilifi county after he suspected that she was having an affair with another man. The suspect Muradh Awadh who is a long distance driver arrived home on Sunday morning. A serious argument ensued between him and the deceased. He butchered her as the kids watched helplessly. The eldest kid who is 11 years old tried to intervene. Nur had filed a divorce but the suspect kept threatening that she would never leave him while alive. The sad incident was confirmed by Mtwapa sub county Police commander Mohammed Ali who revealed that the man was arrested and investigations into the murder have already commenced. He advised members of the public to peacefully solve marital conflicts to avoid such cases from occuring.
