Isn't Kenya a wonderful country to be in? About a year ago, I had this highschool friend of mine who got a scholarship to go and study in Australia. That was exciting, absolutely nice. But wait till he got there and realised how different things are as compared to Kenya. Kenyans are just gangsters in an exciting way. After only a week in Australia, he reported how much he missed Kenya, with all the sarcasm, Memes, gengetone music and all other things that define this country.
Now that got thinking. Have you ever realized that:
It is only in Kenya where all detergents are called Omo?
You will hear someone at the shop proudly saying, "Niuzie Omo ya Sunlight"
It is only in Kenya where all margarine are called Blueband. "Ntapaka tu hiyo blueband ya prestige! "
It is only in Kenya where you find Citizen TV being watched at the reception of KBC.
It is only in Kenya where connection beat degrees and phds.
Its only in Kenya where words like mti, kiboko, doshi, chuma, kuni, mtaro, etc have completely lost their original meanings. Say them loudly in public and all eyes will be on you!
Its only in Kenya where watching soaps and romance movies is a crime among the men!
It is only in Kenya where "by the way me huwezi nishow" is a winning strategy in an argument.
