Back in the day kids smoked weed, but it was never considered cool.. Weed was for miscreants and low-lives. But now things have changed. Tukids who smoke shash are now considered cool. It's not uncommon for even these pretty-young-chilless to suggest, sinicome kwako we smoke some weed and goof around. What fuck is going on? Do these little shits know how much weed demolishes developing brains. The brain stops developing at about 30.. Weed affects what I'd over-simplify as ' Synaptic pruning' which is essentially the brain getting rid of neurons that aren't useful -- similar to cutting off some branches from a tree so that it grows tall and straight.
What happens when this young shits smoke weed is that the pruning process is bungled and you end with brain architecture that doesn't serve you well -- which leads to limited short-term memory, difficulty in paying attention for long stretches of time, etc. In the knowledge-based economy in which these kids will living, you'll never thrive unless you're intellectually agile.
