Kujenga apartment block ya 5 floors kwa 50*100 huchukua how long (actual building after completing land acquisition and construction paperwork)?? Najua hakuna exact time but a rough estimate ndio nataka kujua tuu.

Kupata paperwork hutake how long assuming already uko na kiwanja?? Again, nataka tu a rough estimate of the time najua it varies from case to case.

Architectural & Structural (yours truly) designs + kanjo approval 2-3 months. Lakini I've seen design stage drag for over six months due to client changing his mind. Cost ya approval is dependant on development size, they estimate your construction cost then pro rate the approval fee, 1% in Nairobi then uongeze a few thousands for the site board and hoarding. The below was for a approximately 3,000SQ.M development in Nairobi.

Designs zikiisha and while waiting for kanju engage a Q.S, afanye breakdown and cashflow analysis for your construction. His document, called a B.o.Q will allow you to negotiate with a contractor, or with material procurement if you are building yourself.

Utatafuta contractor during this period while seeking approvals. Ukipata kanjo approval rush to Nema and have your contractor go to NCA. 2-3weeks.

Enabling works, excavation and sub-structure. Start excavation with temporary approvals (an excavation permit) as you await the approval process incase zichelewe. Hapa it really depends on site conditions. I've seen sites that have taken 2 weeks from site handover to first concrete pour ilhali kuna sites that have taken 3 months plus due to ground water, excavation of hard rock, cutting black cotton soil, shoring and protection of neighbouring buildings e.t.c. Important sana, check levels so that you can drain storm water and sewer, I've seen a building where ground floor toilets were below sewer line invert level. Then do your setting out accurately, kuna nyumba where walijenga kwa plot ya jirani. ikiwa site ni tricky, surveyor ata ku sort.

Super structure - hapa sasa timelines depend on your cash flow. Normally a floor slab a month, but you can do every fortnight tho you will require lots more formwork and labour. For you hapa ni 3-5 months.

Finishes, hapa ndipo kazi iko, na ni kazi that requires very serious supervision na haiwezi harakishwa. if your cash flow allows don't wait to finish the structure to start this off. When you are done with a level anza plaster, weka door and window frames, plumbing weka e.t.c

To answer your question, ipatie 9 months optimistic, a year ukipatana na challenges.

Paper work takes roughly 3 months. You will approvals from your county government, Nema, NCA. Note that you might even need to make a change of use if the area is a non commercial zone.
