Transport CS James Macharia has launched a new railway link from the Nairobi City Centre to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The Nairobi Commuter Rail Service to JKIA journey entails a ride on the DMU train upto Embakasi Village station. Customers will then board the BRT bus to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Air travellers will pay Ksh. 500 to use diesel multiple unit trains from the Nairobi Railway Station to the airport.
The JKIA expressway is an extension of the Nairobi commuter rail service targeting air travellers and airport users which targets over 24,000 passengers, workers and other users of the airport.

Absurd! once you get to the city, where do you connect to? Since the network isn't expansive yet.
Next question is how will workers pay 500bob on this thing? Yet these same elite are the ones who own companies at the airport and pay people peanuts.

Their business model is for the airport only. Direct and a shuttle from the station to the terminal. People who really need to be at the airport only sio kupatana na gunia za viazi ukienda mayolo.
