Shariff Nassir, kutoka Mvita yuajua vita!which was elected in 1988 by Shariff Nassir
I totally concur.1. I appreciate the effort and resources of Mombasa Cement towards this project
2. This sculptures are beautifully and realistically done. Just beautiful
However
Mombasa is a coastal town, and Makupa roundabout is the actually the first place a visitor coming from Kibarani sees
It would have been more appropriate if we had marine sculptures, like giant whales, dolphins or even an octopus with the arms straddling the roundabout.
We already have the tusks at Moi Avenue, plus the guys included other miniature elephant heads facing both sides of Moi Avenue. Too many elephants in a coastal town. This would be appropriate in Narok(Masai Mara) Taita(Tsavo) Oloitoktok(Amboseli) etc
My humble take
Enyewe that makes sense when you put it that way.1. I appreciate the effort and resources of Mombasa Cement towards this project

perhaps think of it this way, alot of tourists fly in and land at the coast and Makupa is the last thing they see before they leave mombasa headed into Tsavo and the likes, elephant territory. Maybe those were the target audience1. I appreciate the effort and resources of Mombasa Cement towards this project

If this was the case, then the best place would have been at Kibarani, as you leave the Island. Not when enteringperhaps think of it this way, alot of tourists fly in and land at the coast and Makupa is the last thing they see before they leave mombasa headed into Tsavo and the likes, elephant territory.
