Same thing all western values not African values. Africans have always respected parents and elders and we have never required a specific day to do it.
Wazungu on the other side created a day to cater for their shortfalls and called it mother's day.
Don't get caught up in things not knowing why it's being done, just like Easter and Christmas, I see many Christians embrace them and have not clue of their origins.
