Uroko Onoja was a wealthy businessman turned polygamist who was married to six women. In July 2012, Onoja spent the evening with friends at a bar, returning home about 3 a.m. Immediately upon return, Onoja went to the bedroom with the youngest of the six wives.
Onoja spent most of his free time with his youngest wife. This made the other women jealous. They wanted attention from their husband, they wanted sex and would get it, one way or another.
The women worked together to collaborate a plan to force their husband to have sex with them.
Tonight was the night, they decided, angry from the intimacy they heard between their husband and the younger wife.
When Onoja arrived home, the angry women burst into the room, armed with knives and sticks, demanding that Onoja have sex with them and pay them more attention. They deserved the same attention and affection as the younger wife, the five women explained.
Onoja knew that his wives were angry and took their demands seriously.
He obliged the women, having sex with them one-by-one. That is until his fifth wife approached the bed for her round of forced intercourse.
Onoja was worn out and his heart gave out as she approached the bed. He stopped breathing. Onoja was dead.
Onoja’s Wives Flee the Scene
The wives fled to the nearby woods when they realized their husband was no longer breathing. The fifth wife, the youngest, called paramedics. Onoja was pronounced dead a short time later.
When police questioned the wives, the younger wife told police that the younger wives ran into the forest because they were scared.
Two of the five women were arrested and charged with murder after Onoja’s death.
