Low Budget Gamers Assemble!!!

I wouldn't call myself a hardcore gamer, especially with how busy I have been over the past year, but I still engage in some few games here and there.

My primary machine is poor and my secondary machine is a HP 8440w with 512mb dedicated graphics, but it has an i7 with 8 gigs of RAM and a Kingston SSD 240 Gb with 500 Gb HDD for storage. I decided with this quarantine, I'm not going to deny myself the pleasure of playing games because I don't have the latest machine, or the best graphics driver. So I went ahead and installed Saints Row 3 and 4, H.A.W.X 1 and 2, and Ace Combat Assault Horizon. I have been having the time of my life.

I tried some games but the laptop would go off from too much work. So I'm limited to pre-2013 games, hence the choices above.

Saints Row is MAAAAADDDD!!! For those looking to spend the quarantine in madness, look for these games. I haven't played 1 and 2 coz they were a bit too similar to GTA and we all know who is king there, but 3 and 4 took a different direction. It feels like the creators were high on something. The gameplay is something you definitely would not expect. The madness is on another level.

After I'm done with these though, it's going back to my ah, second love. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.










And those likely to cry gaming on an SSD will kill it, read this...


Which other ones should I try?

I still own a 8540W HP but I think I killed it kitambo and now it has regular thermal shutdowns. It has been more than three years since I gamed on it. I am sure adding some fresh thermal paste could salvage it.

On the other hand I have a run down lenovo G50-80 with a broken hinge, broken screen, malfunctioning usb ports and dead LAN port that only pulls internet from USB tethered phone and images displayed on the TV via HDMI. Surpisingly runs fortine quite well under 30FPS and lowest graphics settings.

Nimekuwa nikitafuta a good deal on gaming PC's but most prices are just predatory huku Kenya and I can't bring myself to being exploited.

Since I discovered importing from ebay and the likes, there are certain things I can never buy here.

Maybe just the casing, but everything else ni majuu. I'd rather wait than be exploited.

Ebay ni straightforward. Type kitu unataka kwa search box na itakuletea. Kama hii ni laptop naotea, HP 8770w quad core i7 with Nvidia Quadro graphics. Ukitaka mpya utapata, ukitaka pre-used utapata na spares pia.

1. When you make your search, you can sort the results by price. Huwa ninaweka price + shipping lowest first. Though most are used, kupata a good deal is very likely. Wengi huwa wanauza some which are in good condition, kutafuta spares tu ndio imewashinda.

2. Shipping location. If you have someone in the States you can send to them. Wengine wetu hatuna, so tunatumia shipping companies kama akina Kentex. Hii location ni ya Rolling Cargo, wasomali wazuri sana. Wanaleta vitu pia kutoka China, Turkey, Dubai, na UK. 1500 per KG, so only vitu light ama essentials kama liquidity ni noma.

3. Kuna watu huwa wana-auction their machines. Kama uko na patience na unajua kubid, kuangukia kitu mzuri ni rahisi sana. Nilipata AV receiver ya Pioneer na 8k. Shida ni ikiwa ni kitu popular, watu watafanya juu chini waku-outbid last minute.

Of course payment ni via Paypal.

I wish hungeandika hii mambo yote juu I already use ebay and I know all these things. Although hiyo Rolling Cargo sikuwa najua because I get most of my things from the UK. Tip: Purchasing things from the UK utapata vitu zako kwa Posta in 2 weeks. Lakini at least naweza aanza kuexplore other markets on Ebay if Rolling Cargo is as reliable as you say.

I was hoping ulikuwa ushanunua na uko na shopping list kama zile za Amazon.
