If they are unknown how did they know there are longterm effects?

There were some rumours earlier that it affects men more even after recovering.
Coz it’s been seen to infect other organs from the post-mortem of the victims. Samples are being collected to see what the future will be.
I think we should be concerned about this.

It was discovered by Chinese pathologists as far back as April.
Any organ that comes under attack by the virus suffers some damage depending on the severity, in some patients lungs get permanently scarred and those parts stop working, some lose their sense of taste and smell and reported they still didnt recover their sense of taste and smell even after recovering fully from the virus, heart complications have been observed in some patients, kidney complications too, conditions they previously did not have pop up post-recovery.
So yes it is factual that some patients have to live with conditions they did not have before they got infected.
