Why do local TV stations still broadcast most content in the 4:3 format, instead of using 16:9? Coz those stretched faces/heads on telly are annoying af, even though it seems people got used to them.

But aspect ratio isn't dependent on the resolution. Actually most of these local stations use 360p, some use 16:9 on a few vipindis

Also depends on your decoder I think. Some local stations broadcast 16:9. But I wouldn't be surprised if some are still 4:3. Juzi niliskia wakiitisha handwritten script for a certain project nikacheka.

Ata it's not dependent on the decoder. You will find one kipindi in proper 16:9 then the next one plus adverts in 4:3

Broadcast ni ya 360p, hadi mtu anakuuliza "kwani hii TV yako iko na resolution mbaya aje?" Na telly ni 2160p UHD, unaskia kumuekea ile content ume download ya UHD hapo hapo aone, lakini unakanyagia tu. Mateso.
